While on a short getaway to Corpus Christi, Texas, we happened upon one of their largest nurseries going out of business. Their pots were 50% off. I scored some adenium pots. The large ones were $10 and the small ones were $1.50. Not enough pots for all my collection so I will have to choose who gets to go into their pretty new homes. I might have to make another trek in Nov. when they close their doors. Also picked up the 3 gal. Red Button Ginger, a pot of variegated potato vine, and a pot with 3 yellow datura/Devil's Trumpet with beautiful black branches for a song. Gotta save where we can, right? I was so happy to get such nice pots today!

Wow! Which nursery is it? I might have to visit my sister in Port Aransas and we go make a run.

Fox Nursery on Staples. They have a lot of inventory but expect to be closed by November. The owner is concentrating on his home building business instead. His plants have been marked up for his 50% off sale, like many others do. But his pots are the same price they used to be and 50% off. He has interesting things. Nursery plant sales in Corpus are not as good as Houston right now, only 30-40% off. But we didn't hit any big box stores. PS I love Port/Aranasas Pass area! I could live there.

Thanks for the info. I prefer living in Houston but did live in Aransas Pass for a year when I was a teenager. Back before Corpus totally went down hill. I can only stand visiting Port Aransas for a couple of weeks and then I'm ready to be back home. However, the beaches are way better down there than Galveston. And so is the seafood!

I can't remember the name of the nursery. But it was one of the largest, a popular one. Foxes, Maybe?? They may still have sales. They had tons of stuff!
