I hope so, I used to like it. It's gotten weird. If it still looks like mud and is shorter than the leaves, it's a goner.

Good luck with MATT. It was a standard years ago... I grew it for a few years. Short and muddy. I finally gave it to a friend of a friend who's son's name was Matt and didn't know a thing about daylilies. Whistling

Supposed to be registered as Phoenix Sunrise this year. (A bonus that was sent, not one of mine)

Look at all these beautiful blooms. It sure makes it easier to wait on mine when I can come here and look at all of these beauties. Smiling

Diana, I think Techny is doing well. I say 'think' cause none seem to be doing poorly, but I have so many pots of daylilies this year and don't have tall markers for them all yet. So I'd have to search my pots to find any I'm looking for until they bloom. Crying Hilarious!

I took some pics of one of my potted areas today. So as soon as I get them on my computer I'll post a pic to show you what I'm talking about.

I know, crazy to grow so many in pots, but it's my only choice right now and I'm too obsessed to stop getting more. Rolling on the floor laughing

Here's a pic of my largest area of potted daylilies. I have 3 other areas, but this is the area I have the the most in.

Phoenix Sunrise looks like a really nice one. Let Loose looks very green.

Joy, the potted ones look happy. You must spend a lot of time watering. At least you live in a zone where they can be in pots all year.

Thanks Susan. So far we've been really wet, so I've only had to water one time. I'm ready for the sun, even if it means I'll have to water. Smiling But yes, once it warms up, I have a lot of watering.

Joy, at least you have them in very large pots. You must get your soil by the cu yard. I have a 100 or so in 1 gal. pots since last summer, and I'm watering all the time. I managed to get 20 in the ground last week. I have one more empty spot then it's sod cutting time or get another load of soil and transfer to bigger pots.

Diana, Most of my seedlings are still in 1 gallon pots. Most have increased and many have scapes, but I know they'd do much better if I get them into larger pots or in the ground. I'm working on it. I did get soil delivered every year, but what I was getting had too much sand in it. It took me a couple years to figure out that the daylilies weren't doing very well in this mix. I had plants that didn't bloom or increase until I put them in a better soil. I'm buying bags of fine bark mulch and compost and mixing them with some other things now. I need to go and look at what else they have that I can have delivered instead. Running for more bags every few days is getting old and it's costing a lot more too.
