Paul, pretty sure this isn't Acalypha hispida, it looks like an Amaranthus, possibly this one, you have images added it it too Love Lies Bleeding (Amaranthus caudatus)

Thanks Sue. I think there are some problems on the Acalphya hispida page...some of my making. I think the upper two pictures on the right are hispida but the bulk of the others....many mine,,,,are Acalphya pendula, the Chennile plant. Have a look and see what you think. I will be happy to correct mine.

OK, I looked at several references that confirmed your suspicions, among them these two:

so now all the images that needed to move are transferred to A. pendula leaving only four images for A. hispida
