Beautiful blooms, I like all of them!

Lisa, lovely shot of Woman at the Well. I really like Semac. Don't remember seeing it before. It looks like it would fit right into the Niragongo bed. Wish I could say the combination with the lily was planned, but it was one of those happy accidents that happen now and then. I get lots of unhappy ones too. It's always hard to know what will be blooming at the same time.

Susan, SEMAC is a recent intro from Jack Carpenter. This is it's first year blooming for me, and I just love it! The first blooms are 8", with sepals longer than the petals. It's only supposed to be 24" tall, but the scapes on mine are about 30".

Thanks for the information on Semac. It's one of those I might not have noticed just looking at a single shot of it, but combined in your photo with purple it is really striking.

Beautiful, everybody! I have so many to add to my garden, but not in this heat. It is unbearable out there today and I was out early, pruning roses, planting out some Gazanias and Gaillardias, watering and weeding. Had to come in when I got sick on my stomach! Won't go back out until late this afternoon when I hope to get a little more done.

I'm noticing the foliage is taller than normal on many of my daylilies this year and the flwers are blooming lower in the forliage than normal. Wonder if that is caused by all the rain? Here's Rags to Riches.

Then, strangely, my doubles are less double than normal this year. Two Part Harmony has been almost all singles until today. Here's Jerry Pate Williams. Not as double as usual, but still pretty.

I have a number of very small daylilies that all seem to bloom at once. This is Happy
Returns, Little Fantastic and Lil Red
Wagon in the back. Then the large one is Bill Norris. In the front are what I think is Tiny
Grit, a rust NOID and a gaillardia for size comparision.
