Here is one that bloomed yesterday on my Mom's 87th birthday!

I took it to her and if you look closely on the left, it is in the small Fenton piece on the table. She is with her great grandchildren.

No, I haven't ever added that one. My permanent marker was not so permanent,I hate that. I have a Brother Labeler now so maybe I can keep everything tagged better. I may just dig it and take it to Mom's. She just likes pretty lol.

It looks like one that I got sent for Happy Happy. I finally did get the real Happy Happy but just planted it so I will have to wait till next year to see it bloom if it makes it. I usually don't plant this late but weather has been nice and in the 70's.

I hope you get blooms out of it. I bought it more for hybridizing because the pictures did not do much for me. It is so much better in person.

Blooming today is a bus plant from the National Convention in Minnesota, so generously donated by Karol Emmerich.of Sprinwood Gardens.

The temps in Phoenix, were in the upper 60's this morning, and this daylily was fully open. 60's may not be that cool for a morning but I can tell this daylily will open on mornings with cooler temps.

Todays blooms ( I can't believe this, it is mid-October already!

Purple Pashtina rebloom

This is supposed to be Sugar Glider, at least that is what I identified it as. It is new this summer, and I cut the bloom scapes and this is a rebloom. The verdict is out, I will wait until next year to confirm. Our cold temps and the short days might be messing with the color & eye

And one of my favorites this year, Best In Class. Even in the rain, the color is gorgeous - and it is actually a better red than the photo shows.

Who would've guessed ???? I had no idea you could get daylily blooms in October. I live in the south ... FL. What is the trick to get Fall blooms?

All the blooms listed on this thread are stunning! How lucky you are to have blooms right now! I wished I had some blooming at this time.

Maroon Branch is a VL bloomer.

The others are rebloomers, and I have only had daylilies reblooming last year and this year. I think our recent extended seasons have contributed to this. Last year, we had drought and warmer than normal weather. This year, it's been a lot cooler, but I think the initial very cool and wet spring (I had amazing growth on the daylilies that didn't drown!) plus the mild fall we have had has contributed to the reblooms.

I was just thinking this morning that perhaps in the future I might put these rebloomers all in a single area of the bed, so I can get more impact. Something to think about ~Jan

I get very little rebloom but when I do it usually comes in August and always done by mid September. I have one seedling reblooming but the rebloom is not very impressive.

The later they re-bloom, the less impressive the flowers?

I would think that is true because of the 40 degree cold nights we have been having.
