I noticed tonight that the banner is not fully displayed when the window is reduced and I use the arrow at the bottom of the page (if that makes sense). I only get the portion of the banner that was displayed on the initial opening followed by white, "dead" space when sliding the page over (although there is other page information such as the search bar displayed). If I fully blow up my window, I get the full banner but it reverts back to the truncated version as soon as I reduce the window at all.

I noticed this issue for the first time with the "Lady in Red" banner and now it is happening again. Any suggestions? I'm all ears!

That's strange. Are you able to make a screenshot of what it looks like and post it here? That would help me troubleshoot this.

I forgot to include a fully expanded shot:

When expanded, I get the full banner (and a lovely one it is).

@Newyorkrita

Is this the same issue that you were experiencing? I've restarted and all but am still getting a partial pic.

Yes, exactly. And it never used to happen. I now have to keep my browser at full screen width or blank space appears. Your first screen shot looks just like what I was seeing earlier this evening.

I noticed it for the first time last week with the "Lady in Red" banner. I couldn't see a red lady at all and had to go to the banners forum in order to pull up the full photo. It was a beautiful ladybug!

If it had not been for the title of the banner (Lady in Red), I don't think I would have realized that there was a problem (ie., no red lady to be found). Is that about the same time that you noticed an issue?

Like you, if I go full screen, then I get the full banner. I always work in split screen mode, though (2 or 3 windows at least) so I hope there is another solution...

That all sounds about right for the same way things happened around here. I know I never had problems seeing the full banners before.

That's really interesting.

@OldGardener, I note from your screenshot that you're using using noscript and I'm going to investigate the possibility that this add-on might be interfering with things. I do use javascript for some of our layout formatting.

@Newyorkrita: Do you use any add-ons that block javascript, that you are aware of?

I went ahead and enabled Java but still have the same issue. ATP is white-listed and allowed to run other scripts but I do have google analytics and syndication blocked.

Blocking those wouldn't hurt anything. It's the ATP-specific javascript that assists with the layout. I'll keep looking at this. When did you notice it started? Recently? Or always?

I just tried reducing my window and noticed that same problem. I generally operate in full screen mode, so I'd never noticed this before.

So far everyone experiencing this is using Firefox 24 on Windows.

I'm also using Firefox 24 but I use Linux and I do not experience this.

I noticed it for the first time on 9/30. I see that "Lady in Red" is tagged as the banner for 10/1 but the banner changes late the day before (maybe due to West Coast time or ??). I thought it was just a fluke then. The only reason I noticed was that caption did not makes sense when all I could see was a yellow flower (plumeria). I had a banner posted the day before (Preying Mantis) and did not notice an issue that day but, to be honest, I am not sure if I would have noticed or not. I wish I could pinpoint the time frame better...

Yes, Firefox here also. Heres the thing, if you keep your browser open so that you have a scroll bar on the bottom, once you scroll to the right, you have that write empty place. If I pull the browser open to fit across my screen and there is no scroll bar then there is no problem, the banner displays entirely. Is that the way it is supposed to be?

Honestly I am not sure now when first happened, know I REALLY noticed it last night on this banner.

I have no add blockers or Java blockers that I know of.

ff 24.0 here too, Dave, and the same thing. I had to really shrink my window to get the horizontal scrollbar - I'm usually full-screen, and I have a 22" monitor (I think). I'm on Win 7 home.
