How do you all do that?? (Speak slowly. Remember I am simple-minded.)
I can do that with a swipe on my phone. But I never learned how to do it on my laptop.
Thanks in advance. ~Cheryl

How to do a screen shot, you mean? You press the "PrtSc" (print screen) button (which puts the image onto your computer's clipboard), then open up whatever photo program you have, create a new blank document, then hit "paste" (which will paste the contents of the clipboard into that blank document). Does that make sense?

It took me a while to figure that out. It may be different on all computers, I don't know…On mine though, I selected Preview from my applications, clicked on 'File', and scroll down to 'Take Screen Shot', then you can choose to take from the window, selected, or entire screen. Once you take the shot 'Save' it and then come back here to 'upload'.

Gee, now it all sounds confusing again. *Blush* Basically I just 'played around' until I figured it out. *Blush*

Thanks Woofie. This sounds like what happens on my phone, only it does it all for me. A Photo Program? Like what, for example? Good news, I know where the prt sc button is!

Oh, my! That sounds very different, Tara! What kind of computer are you using? Mine is a PC with Windows 7.

I use Photoshop exclusively, so I don't know about other programs. Sorry.

So, what photo programs do you have available? You should at least have Paint, I'd think.

Ahhhhhhhh! I found it using 'Bucket. That was rather too easy and obvious and I feel stupid for asking about it. But when you don;'t know, you don't know!
1.prt sc
2. photo sent to my 'Bucket account
3. Saved and copied here but it didn't show up. I need to use " SaveImageAs" into a docs file instead.
4. Created a new folder for Screenshots.

And for the record, I only found out about doing Screen Shots in the last year or so, and only because of hanging out here! Hilarious!

Ok I see my 'bucket account is totally accessible if you click on the link! That makes it a lot easier for me all the way around. My ATP file was getting huge!

Someone gave me a like, 18 step process using Paint. I never figured it out. It was confusing with too many steps. My laptop syncs things to programs I know. I like that. Thanks again, woofie! Hurray!

I'm not quite sure what you mean…computer novice here…I have iPhoto. Not much more than what came with Mac/Safari. Shrug! Just the basics I guess. Whistling I resisted joining the 21st century for a long time! Hilarious! Only been 'online' for a couple of years now. Started with the basics of the Mac OS X, and haven't gone much further.

Tara, I wish I could help you with your MAC but I have zero experience with it. If no one answers the question for you, I will ask my DD's when they get here. They are Apple-users. I must be easy if not easier than with Windows.

Cheryl: I'm not real computer savvy, I consider myself technically challenged when it comes to stuff like this but I have a MacBook Pro and I use Safari too. I don't know if all Macs are the same but on my laptop there's a dock area with the Safari logo as well as other logo's i.e. - iTunes, iPhoto, APP Store, Apple - Mac OSX (which I think my husband told me is the operating system?), Skype, iMovieHD, iDVD etc. There's also an icon of a photo of a camera that says ScreenCaptureX; when I click on that icon it brings a little box up on the screen that looks like this:

ScreenCaptureX

Change Preferences
❍ Capture a window
❍ Capture a section of screen
❍ Capture entire screen

❏ Time captured after 10 seconds
(Allows menu capture entire screen only)
❏ Add caption after capture
(Window and section modes only)

Capture

I click on Capture a section of screen and it puts a little dot in the box, then I click on Time captured after 10 seconds and then click on the Icon that says Capture at the bottom. I didn't know it worked but it put the photo of the screen section on my desktop and then I just uploaded the photo as normal.
