I would like to share my pollen with friends, which is currently frozen. Would it be okay that is thaws while being mailed and then frozen again by recipients?

I do not think it would hurt to ship it, someone on the lily auction sells pollen every year and I assume he keeps it frozen until ship time.

Thank you much Fred. We're going to try this by sending each other 24 vials and I hope it works out.

Good luck. I got some gift pollen from a friend last year. She sent it priority mail so it was only in the postal system for 2 days. So far the pollen I've used from that batch has been as viable as the pollen I collected here myself. Thumbs up
It's my cats world, I'm just here to open the cans.

Hi Kimkats,

I don't know how many times pollen can be frozen and unfrozen but I started a pollen trading club with friends. I am more excited about pollen than receiving plants. Using the new usps priority mail regional rates it is a real savings to ship. Can't wait for bloom season to freeze some more.
