Ideas? Photos?

What do you do to decorate your fall gardens?

Here's one of mine. My tallest ornamental grass clippings are banded together and used as temporary accents. I love the rustle and sway of these as they move about in the breeze. Since these were placed on the south side of our home they also make lovely shadow patterns inside. Smiling

I usually decorate. I have a family of Pilgrims and Indians along with a turkey that I put out. A friend made them for me out of old rustic fence pickets. But I can't reach them in the garage attic this year. So I've settled on some pumpkins and (gasp) fake mums out there. The pumpkins light up at night. I am dying to grab up one of those beautiful huge pots of mums they have out in the nursery. I will wait a few more weeks so that the blooms last through Thanksgiving.

Very nice. I don't do any fall or Halloween themed decorations in the garden. I am not creative in that way at all.

Very nice Chelle! I like the way you incorporated rocks(?) and tree stumps into the arrangement. And the grasses are so beautiful Thumbs up

I haven't done much decorating in the past, just a door wreath usually. But this year I went all out (for me, at least) and bought a couple of yellow mums, a door covering with pumpkins on it, and some pumpkins for the porch.

Thanks! Big Grin

No rocks in this one, just chunks of wood in different shades. Smiling

I agree Grasses are glorious this time of year! I've added a few more to my collection just recently. They're just small starts now, but they'll grow so fast!

It looks like our weather is going to cool off and stay that way for a while, so I'll bring up our pumpkins and such some time this week.

Vickie, your entryway sounds delightful! Thumbs up Do you have any pictures yet?

Cheryl, are your lighted pumpkins solar powered? I'd be interested in some of those... nodding

Too funny, David! We were just discussing the wealth of spiderwebs all over everything here at this time of year...guess that part of it too, has some basis in fact.

Chelle, I still need to get my glow-in-the-dark spider web up for the kiddos for Halloween night and also we bought some strobe lights that make noise from Menard's. It is dark now, but I will get a picture tomorrow... if it isn't raining Smiling

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing I was walking through my arbor this morning looking down and ran straight into a HUMONGOUS spider web! When I turned back, a very large spider was trying to get off of what was left of its web. Was I ever glad that he didn't land in my hair, but I was webbed from my shoulders up Grumbling

Sorry, Vickie, but I have to laugh with you since it was a near miss. Hilarious! They usually end up dangling off my eyeglasses...spider and web!

I've no new and interesting decorating pictures today, but the mums sure are looking crisp and fine in this chilly weather. Big Grin

The red salvia was almost a weeding casualty ...tossed it in here last week and it never really broke stride. Amazing...

Chelle, this is about it for me except for a wreath on the front door. But I do have the spider webs that I want to put on both sides of the step and some of the milk jug lights along the sidewalk.

This is my south door that everyone uses. If someone rings the front doorbell, we know it's a stranger nodding

That's beautiful, Vickie! You have the most perfect spots for adding spiderwebs, too. Thumbs up

I brought a whole two pumpkins up to the house today. Hilarious! I should have made one trip just for the pumpkins and squash, but as it was only those two would ride on top of my barrow full of compost.

Thanks, Chelle. I hope you can get back out there today to get some more squash and pumpkins. I am hoping to make some pumpkin dishes with mine after Halloween.

A good percentage of our wildflowers are weeds somewhere in our world Vickie!
