I absolutely love the new site. I have one question - Where is the site discussion thread that I
was reading before the new look was permanent? I have been helped in times past by the
questions and answers on that place before and don't see it anywhere now.

Thanks for clearing up my search,

Louise M.

Louise: I found a thread in the Ask a Question Forum where you've posted: The thread "HELP! Thistle and other weeds taking over LARGE daylily bed!" in Ask a Question forum

Or, are you referring to the Site Talk Forum? http://garden.org/forums/view/...

If neither of the links Lin posted are the one you're looking for, try this:

Click on the little person icon - it's in the blue bar on the left of the screen, and will take you to your profile.

In the "Actions" box, you'll see a link called "View posts made by louise". That will show all the discussions you've participated in.

If you were only reading and not commenting, I'm not sure how to track down a thread without knowing the title. In the future (or when you find this one), leave a comment, or click the thumb or the star anywhere in the thread, and you'll be able to access the thread from your profile anytime. There's also a link that says "Watch" at the top of every thread, and if you click it, you'll get a notification on the front page every time there's a new post.

Lin, I think the place that I meant was the link above with the word 'site talk' in it. I'll go there now and mark it to 'watch'. Thanks for everyone who helped me around this new wonderful place that Dave has given us to play in!

Glad to help! I think it's great that we never have to hesitate to ask questions here! Whenever I get a bit of brain freeze (which seems to be more often as I get older), I know that someone here will always help! Thumbs up

Thanks for the help. Since this question is resolved, is there a way
to mark this thread as 'Done'. Seems like that option was on the other
format.

Louise: As far as I know there isn't an option to close threads on this forum or mark them done ... maybe I will propose that to admin.

Louise: here's the answer I got from Dave regarding my proposal about marking these threads closed:

"It's a good proposal but the problem is, if I add the feature, it's likely that most of the questioners won't go back and mark it as solved and then we end up with an inconsistently applied feature. So, I'd rather just leave it as it is."

I hadn't thought about that but I know we have the ability to close threads on the Plant Identification Forum and lots of folks forget to mark their threads closed after they get an ID so I do understand.

Louise, in case you hadn't found what you were looking for; I believe this is what you were trying to locate.
The thread "Discussing the new layout" in Site Talk forum

And after the new layout was launched; this is the thread where things got ironed out to a T:
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
