Please ID this shrubby vine growing up a tree near my neighborhood. It has white berries.

Clint, I think it could possibly be Euonymus fortunei & not truly a vine but a woody climber in certain instances. See if this looks like it:

And I found it in our db:
Winter Creeper (Euonymus fortunei)
You can see in that first photo where the capsules have split to reveal the red berries inside.

@SongofJoy Tee, does what Clint have look like Winter Creeper to you?

Looks like it to me. I think it is killing that tree. The orange seeds are really showing now. It's amazing how many plants there are to learn about! Thanks for answering!

KILL IT NOW!

Unless you have your sprayers license your gunna need to call a professional to get access to sprays that are effective on it, don't waste your time with regular sprays available at the store...

Physical removal is not an effective means of removing it!

Clint can not do anything about it. The plant is not on his property. He states in his first post that it is growing up a tree near his neighborhood.

Yes. It's growing in the wild. It is interesting. I think it's native?

No, it's native to east Asia including Japan, Korea, China & the Philippines. It's just plain bad news!!!!

Read about it in Tee's comments as well as the ones I just added today:
Winter Creeper (Euonymus fortunei)

Yea didnt notice the part about it being on othes land, I'd wager they wouldn't be real happy about it, you might approach them and see how they feel about it.

I quite assure you, you will have the opportunity to kill it soon tho, I'd spreads rampantly!
It'll ramble on the ground til it finds a good tree to go up, at that point it'll mature, make seed and quickly form a mat that nothing can grow they, and will choke out and survivors...

Crossbow is the only spray I know will kill it.
