Eddie - I love your way of thinking! I must confess ... I am one of those gardeners looking for a pretty face regardless of whether it has a name or not.

Have a slew of them bought just because of the name. Like Bela Lugosi, Nosferatu, Dracula, Wait Until Dark, Quote the Raven, Black Briar Bay, Third Witch, Witch's Laugh, Brown Witch, Grey Witch, Rocky Horror, and Voodoo Dancer. See a theme?
I had the privilege of seeing him as King Arthur in Spamalot in London, January 2007 (went there as a 50th birthday present to myself). He was very good. My favorite role of his is Wadsworth, though.
None have teeth, Becky. Started out with Bela Lugosi, because I love to watch him--even in Plan 9 from Outer Space--and I was looking for darker daylilies. I really like Edgar Allan Poe, too, so enter Quote the Raven. It grew from there. Also have Killer and Maltese Falcon.
Natalie - LOL! Thanks! I just love flowers! And daylilies grow and bloom well here for me when other plants don't. Wished more of my neighbors were into flowering plants instead of Palm Trees and evergreen shrubs. Ugh! This is a very nice group of gardeners/daylily growers here on this forum! Thanks everyone!
Debra - A true Bela Lugosi fan! Some of your daylily gardens must reflect your "darker" side! JK. I bet your garden areas are beautiful with dark, rich colors!

Natalie, in regards to your dad and growing flowers as a diesel mechanic, I could not disagree with you more. As a auto mechanic myself, gardeners come in all shape, sizes, colors, etc,etc,etc,etc...... LOL!! couldn't get "rofl" to load for some reason. I remember as a kid helping my grand mother in her veggie garden. My gardening enthusiasm didn't come till later in life as did your dad. I guess in those earlier years we were too busy with life and not stopping to "smell the roses" so to speak.
