Just so you all know, I do like to stray with the Reckamp glow for the fun of it.
I have a limited number of UFo's and some Eyes and Edges.

My wife wanted a big red, so I got Rob Cobb, so I decided to play around a bit for the fun of it.
Then In had to buy some plants to do that, I'm thinking you all know where this is headed, and I'm sure that I'm not alone.

This is the largest bloom I have hybridized to date
L-25-a (Rob Cobb X Persian Ruby) 9x32

I don't know how many of you grow Persain Ruby, but I consider it to be the best purple I've ever seen.

I had the bright idea to see what would happen if I took some teeth to Persian Ruby
I used Forestlake Ragamuffin
This was the result, maiden bloom 2013
A little twisted sister, but no teeth.

Purples are far and away my favorites and I really like L-25-a.
It’s okay to not know all the answers.

Ed - Those are really lovely! I don't know if that photo shows the very first year blooms of your teeth experiment of Persian Ruby x Forestlake Ragamuffin, but if so ... could that plant evolve into blooms that have a darker color and maybe some teeth ... eventually by the 3rd year?

I managed to win a couple of auctions on LA for hybrid seeds that have teeth genes/cultivars as a parent. I don't know anything about the teeth characteristics and how quickly they show up in a seedling. But I hope to find out within a year or so ...

Ed, love that L-25-a seedling. Persian Ruby does well here.

I just had to go through this thread again! Amazing! Where can I find the other threads that were mentioned? I am truly fascinated by what some of the crosses produce. I would love to see more of the crosses and the children they produced. I can't get over how different some of the children look even though they had the same parents. (I guess just like people ... I had blonde hair and green eyes, one brother had blue eyes and black hair, and the youngest two had brown hair and brown eyes. None of us look like we come from the same family except for some very small features like our noses. LOL! We are a Heinz 57 clan!)

Becky thanks
I don't think the Persian Ruby, FL Ragamuffin cross will ever have teeth, maybe if I keep breeding the seedling to teeth it may happen eventually.

Thanks Mike L-25-a is pretty, plus it's pod fertile.

Frillylily, N-24 is my kind of daylily, my main goal is this pastel polychrome look

Here's another Teckny Spider pollen kid, N-35 Angels Realm x Techny Spider.
