I don't believe variegata is a species of Ficus. I'm pretty sure 'Variegata' is a cultivar name and this entry Ficus variegata should be deleted and photo's moved to this entry: Weeping Fig (Ficus benjamina 'Variegata')

Thanks Lynn! I should have done more research before posting that request; although I do think the photo's at the above database entry are a cultivar of a F. benjamina.

Zuzu showed me the Catalogue of Life. It seems to be the most current authority on most botanical names.

If the photo is possible wrong, maybe you could post it to the Plant ID forum for a debate, to look at all the finer points of what would make it F. benjamina or F variegata.
