Cinda ,they can grow in the outside in BEiJING`S winter.AND I found they are inexpensive and easy to grow in our city .

Horseshoe,The bi-color may be result from the downward temperature ,Winter is on the way ,I should have had the other bi-color chrysanthemums.but the saler was dishonest when I told her to gvie me the chequering with white and pink one . I am wondering if there are some chrysanthemums in your local markets .

farmwind, I used to grow many "mums" for our market(s), now I let others grow them and tend to choose a few for planting on my place from time to time.

Wish I could remember the name of this white one...it has a yellow center with a red dot in the middle, a great palette of colors, with the red eventually growing larger as the flowers age.
Alas, these pics were taken in 2005 so will have to search my memory banks and computer for their cultivar names.

All my mums had (have) names but I just don't remember them by sight. I'll have to look them up one rainy day when I have more computer time.
