Is this plant actually a cactus species? I have heard and read so many things on it and some say cactus and some say succulent and since i am setting up my grow room for the winter for them (i am in zone 7b, NC) and am wondering what sort of lights to put in for them. thanks in advance for your help!
Hi Dani, and to ATP.
Pitaya is the common name for Hylocereus, which is a night blooming genus of cactus. There are a few of the species that produce large edible fruits called pitayaa or dragon fruit.
