I'm totally in love with Terah's BANANA SMOOTHIE. The scapes are 64" tall and the flowers are 10 inches. It's quite remarkable. Last summer I counted SEVEN flowers open at once on just one scape. And the scape didn't fall over from all that weight. It has 6 way branching and is loaded with buds. Visitors always make a bee line to it because you can see it from across the garden wondering what is THAT!!

Wow, I just clicked on Banana Smoothie to enlarge the photo... that is amazing.

Hurray!

Look at that branching!

Yellows are my very favorites. I am a sucker for a great yellow.

Thanks to Spunky giving us the link, I went to the website and looked this one up!

BANANA SMOOTHIE
TET[(Rob Cobb x Galaxy Rose) X Webster's Pink Wonder]
64"(10") EMReSe Fertile 6-way branching 40 buds
Screeming yellow, GT Unf crispate

Geesh, I wish I could get this one, or at least some pollen... oh, wait, I gave up doing crosses.... I have a seedling that is probably all of 60" out of Notify Ground Crew x Palace of Lights. It has the largest plant in my garden, and often reblooms. It has smaller flowers, more like a species. I get the shivers just thinking about crossing them!

Here's another photo that's sort of fun to see. I took the photo to show how evergreen daylilies really struggle here in my zone 7 garden in the early spring. So I took this photo to show the difference in foliage. Make sure you blow this photo up in size.....the two scrawny little plants in front are evergreens....and that big honking plant in the center is BANANA SMOOTHIE.

Like I said in my introduction I have know Jesse and Terah George for 40 years.
They are the ones who got me into dayliles. Since Fres showed Jesse's
Coach's Hot Lips I will show a seedling out of it that bloomed at eight month with 22 buds . I know this one will be an introductin and will be named for my youngest granddaughter Kera.
