This neomarica has a beautiful bloom. Unfortunately it fades too quickly. It opened today

Lucy, I don't know exactly what are the temperatures in your zone.
We don't have Plant Hardiness zones here.
But I can tell you that we have mild winters where I live. It does never snow. And we have only three or four days below freezing during the Winter.
The temperatures in Summer may reach 33 or 34 Celsius.
I don't know if this information helps you. Sad

@Ceci, that is a beauty. Is it deciduous in your climate? Does this plant grow from a rhizome?

Yes Evan, it does grow from a rhizome and does not loose its leaves during the Winter.

Thanks Ceci. I just found your photo under Walking Iris (Trimezia gracilis). I was hoping it was deciduous to try overwintering it dormant...but it's supposed to be an easy to grow houseplant for us cold winter folk. Thumbs up Do they grow wild in La Plata?

It is about as tall as the other irises. Perhaps a little shorter.
