I love the idea with the rod. I too use a Brother labeler. I've been using one for the last 5 years and have never had a label fade or peel. In fact at times the label outlast the plants.

Well the tags I showed on page 1 only one held up through a season or more ,,
Now I am trying this ,,
Soda bottle plastic still the material .
I am scratching the name into this plastic , as the plastic material lasts in all weather .
I suppose a little engraver would work for this ..

I will see how this idea takes the time .. (weather ) etc .

Too much time and practice into the first on page 1 ..
apologies to any who tried and failed .

This is not real informative , but the idea works well Not as nice as picture tags , but lasts and lasts ,

Since I first did this , I have had clear gorilla glue since then , Or if you use the waterproof markers on the soda plastic , let it dry a while , then seal it on with the clear glue it stays nicely ,, pictures still fade over time though , outside that is ,
