Collect Curbside Fall Leaves for Free Mulch

By Newyorkrita

Each fall the last task to put the garden to sleep is to mulch everything with a thick blanket of fallen leaves. If you are like me, you don't have enough of your own to go on all of your beds. So, I go around my neighborhood and collect the bagged leaves put out by the curb.

Thread OP

Oh boy all those fall leaves are like gold to me, I seem to be the only one in my area who goes around and grabs as many bags of leaves i can before they get picked up by the trash company. I use them on everything and yes the leftovers go in the mulch pile. Glad to have read the article on gathering other peoples leaves people here think i'm nuts. If only they knew what they really have, oh well more for me. Poobles. Green Grin!

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome to ATP! Welcome! Welcome!

You have the right idea. The people throw away those leaves don't know what they have. Leaves are so good for the garden.
