I have come across a knew pest I can't seem to identify. The larvae live on the bottom side of the leaves are roughly three times the size of a spider mite and look like miniature crickets.they seem to shed a skin and turn into small flying insects with rounded upward facing wings. They don't seem to damage the plant other than making the upper side of the leaf appear wet. The larvae are fast and plentiful. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

May I ask what plant had the infestation? Do you see anything that looks like either the remains of eggs or egg sacs? What part of the country are you in (south, southeast, etc.)? I apologize for bombarding you with questions but, without photos, this is a really tough one.
