Many spring blooming bulbs can be planted under deciduous trees and shrubs. They will bloom before the branches fill out with leaves, which will give you a pretty view earlier.

Thank you for posting this! the picture says it all. I just received in the mail a new variety of daffodils and could not decide where to plant them, plus I have a giant rock I did not know what to do with and now I will put both under my Birch tree. This will be so pretty in the spring. Yippee!!
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Mat.6:28-29

Susan, I'm glad you liked my idea of using rocks under the tree with the bulbs, and my photo. Have fun planting your bulbs and be sure to post photos in the spring!

Susan, I am sorry I can't remember for sure if it is the database or not, I have over a thousand image in there. For sure it isn't in the image sets as I haven't done any of those yet, it just started this summer and I didn't have the time to do any. I have lots lined up to do over the winter.
I am sure your bolder and the bulbs will turn out beautiful for you.
