Well, Lynn and Peter, I didn't buy any memorial urns like the ones that hubby snapped photos of at the Pere La Charse Cemetary. But I did pick these small ones up because they were compact and light to fit into luggage and most importantly they were affordable:

Now, my Paris trip time didn't allow for me to see all that Paris had to offer. The City of Light IS certainly both visually and gastronomically distracting. When not distracted, I did manage to hit several museums, a few botanical parks, 7 plant stores and numerous restaurants and bakeries. I also wandered on foot through 7 neighborhoods and didn't climb onto the metro until Day 9 when I wanted to visited the Greenhouses of Auteuil. I know I missed a lot of sights (and sites) but after a while, vacationing was starting to become tiring for me!

Anyway, the following images caught my eye in Paris and ended up on my iPhone before I got home:

Lastly, here's my San Franciscan photo version of the Eiffel Tower. It was hard to decide how low to place the fog over the Tower to replicate the vision of the Golden Gate Bridge shrouded in fog. NOT!...just kidding about that. I would never photoshop/tamper with the Eiffel Tower. Anyway I thought it looked charming this way and so never bothered to go any closer to visit it.

Odd lady with the monkey.... Shrug! Is she metal or cement or ? And the gnarly old tree is very cool too. The food looks like artwork itself. What a great trip!! Thanks for sharing pictures.

That staircase is amazing. I wish I could see it in person.

I wonder what the fuzzy green plant is in the collage? And I can't stop looking at the gnarly old tree. I wonder how old it is?

Here's some pics with more detail. Chris, here is larger pic of staircase and another pic of "odd lady with monkey" which consisted of her head and hands being bronze but her hair, dress and monkey was glazed ceramic. I have to say, for me, it was the most beautiful man-made thing I saw in Paris.

Thumb of 2013-11-05/webesemps/21aae2 Thumb of 2013-11-05/webesemps/5581fd

And Lynn, the gnarly tree had fallen over but continues to grow.

Thank you all for enjoying the pics! Group hug The 20 collages contained approx. 69 photos so hopefully, the photo hungry mob had a little taste of Paris thru my eyes. And Marilyn, just between you and me, I did not taste any of the pastries that I saw thru any display case or window.

I did the collages with ATP Semp/Succulent forum people in mind. I figured the typical Paris tourist pics were readily available anywhere and so had wanted to do something different in the sharing of my pics with you all.

Lynn, can't tell you age of tree...you know how hard it is to tell something's age when it's lying down. You and I probably both look younger lying down too!!... Whistling
Anyway, can suggest that green plant is probably a begonia because I was in the Begonia/Sanseveria part of the multi-roomed Jardin De Serra of Auteuil (Garden Greenhouse of Auteuil) when I took the picture.

Can I tell you, Greg, that I looked thru countless postcard displays and not one picture of the Eiffel Tower was shrouded with fog like the Golden Gate!!! I think I was meant to see the Eiffel Tower that day in that attire... Whistling

No, I don't think that fuzzy one is a begonia. Not a Sanseveria either. Did you touch it? Was it spiny? Or just fuzzy?

Lynn, I didn't buy the cast iron ones (shown on the left) because they were on top of someone's grave site. Just one of those would have made my luggage go beyond the 70lb limit for the flight. The boring looking pots on the right side photo was what I ended up with. Sorry.

Bev, glad you did not remove them from their site but they would be a temptation, but customs might have been tricky.

With Bev's usual artistry I am sure the ones you did bring home will be lovely. Now the waiting starts.

Could that little green button thing be a cactus of some kind?

Lynn, I didn't dare touch anything because all the caretakers for the 10+ greenhouses were all on duty that day. In fact when dear hubby walked into the orchid greenhouse with his backpack, he was warned not to make any quick turn movements without seeing what orchids were nearby. I will try and see if I can find anything remotely begonia or similar to that plant.
