Way to go Ann !! I grow three of Ann's intros and all do very well here. GRANDMA'S CURTIANS has some of the widest petals of any I grow. All three are her 2012 intros

farmerbell said:Hey everybody! Thanks so very much for taking the time to leave such nice comments. It is a very special daylily of which I am proud.

Julie, you asked for stats. Here ya' go. Height: 26-28", bloom: 5-5.5", ev, EM, 3 branches, bud count: 20, fragrant. It grows very well in my zone 7A, is pod and pollen fertile, and increases nicely. I cannot give your parentage. A few years ago I was shelling daylily seeds and kept a cup nearby to put the culls, the ones that had nothing inside and the ones that I felt were too soft to sell. One day I grabbed a handful of these culls and took them to a flower pot on the deck and planted them. Ice Crystal is a result of one of those seeds. It makes me wonder about the others I culled. I think you have us all wondering what beauties we may have pitched! Congrats to you.

Thanks again for all the gracious comments. I love the "white" daylilies and have some stunning white seedlings, but I have to admit that ICE CRYSTAL is special. Now I am already anxious for next year's blooms. I am sorry that I haven't been on ATP a lot, except to read. My migraines have been hitting me every other day for a while now.

Good growing to all.

Jaw-dropping. Too good.
