Thanks, Shive for the great list. I have an order coming from Maryott now.
Yes, Debra, I will do a rain dance for Robin. 85% of this state is in drought. The Southeast is in deep trouble, as it has been so long lasting.Fingers crossed! Thanks for the info on Dancing Daylily. Would love to hear about them when they arrive. :smily:

I have ordered many over the years from Blueridge, Bob Selman and never received one that was not true to name. His prices are not always the cheapest, but his fans are usually very large and worth a little extra.

I have ordered from Bob Selman also and you get top quality plants and I got lots of bonus plants. They always looked like the pictures and true to name.

Maryotts is fantastic and top quality as well as a pleasure to deal with.

I have my favorite sellers on the Lily Auction also.

But lately I usually buy direct from the hybridizer. I had added lots of M. Mason intros, Emmerich, Noris, Korth, Owen, Westbourne, Murphy, Rice, Hibard and others all bought directly from the source!

My box arrived from Maryott today. I could not believe the free gifts they sent!
I had ordered 5 plants and they sent 5 huge gift plants too, which were valued at 2 1/2 times what I paid for the order!!
They are soaking now and will be planted later today when it cools down a bit.
Very pleased, to say the least!
Thanks for all the great help you all have given me here. Group hug

falcon_g, who is selling on eBay now and I think also sells on the Lily Auction is very generous and most often sends extra fans and bonuses. It sounds like he has had some health problems recently and is selling them at very reasonable prices on eBay. His have always been true to name as far as I can remember. I went to eBay to see about what I could sell some of mine for, since I need to divide a lot and ended up ordering Lace Cookies, Quilting Circle and Beyond Thunderdome. See something wrong with that picture?

I have had very good experiences with Robin and Blue Ridge. They both send wonderful plants and communicate well. Robin has more older and collector daylilies. Bob has more newer ones plus his own introductions. I have several of his intros and love them. Appalachian Ballad is an exceptional lavender - one of the favorite lavenders in my garden.

I received a huge and totally fantastic order from Maryott's last week, and now this week they're having a sale -- so I went and did a second order! And they're going to ship on Monday! Fantastic!!!

And after I saw Betty's post in another thread, I looked at Maryott's last night...and placed an order myself, even though I said no more until September. Magic of Oz 30% less than what I've seen it for elsewhere AND buy-one-get-one? Spacecoast Sea Shells for $12? Cathy Cute Legs (for my sister Cathy) half of other places? How could any self respecting daylily-obsessed person pass that up? Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Oh well, not the first time it's been Ramen and bologna sandwiches for dinner. And I'm sure it won't be the last. Big Grin

Subhana at Flourishing Daylilies sends nice plants too. I bought one this summer that was sending up a scape (6") when it arrived. It continued growing a while and bloomed a couple of flowers.
