Debra: I think that's so cute, and a great idea for children ... for their own little gardens! Even very young children would love gardening with a few old toys for decor ... or to plant up as shown in your photo! Wonderful tip!

How cute! Now I want to raid my two grandsons' toys! I will have to talk to my daughter to see if they have anything they don't play with anymore.

The only thing is, the boys will see it in the garden and if it is not anchored down, I know they will want to grab it.

He and his six-months-younger cousin sure do make things interesting around here.

Several months ago I dragged a toy out of a dumpster with the purpose of repainting it and putting a plant in it. Well, it has sat out waiting for the new paint job, etc. You just gave me the push I needed to get busy with it.

I saw and bought a sign, "Growing Giggles." I'm going to make signs stating ,"Plant Smiles" and "Grow Giggles."
I also have one "God's in charge of plants and trees and I'm in charge of flowers and weeds." Thought I'd share with you crafters!

That toy I pulled out of a trash bin just sat around forever. I lost interest in it when DH got sick and all my gardening plans got put on hold. Here it is Sept. of 2014 and so hot here we can't even consider going out to play in the dirt. Along the way that old plastic car got tossed out. I am looking forward to our winter, and the rain we need so badly here in Southern California. Hoping to get my interest back in gardening soon.
