When I do pel cuttings, I just stick them into any available pot of planting mix. They seem to be pretty easy. My Mom also sticks them in cups of water on her kitchen garden window and when roots appear, pots them up. She has a nice collection. I also used to have a large collection but lost a few due to colder night temps since I moved.

Thanks, Sue. I can try some each way since I took about 30 tip cuttings about 3" long.

I let them set for about 12 hours then pot up in HP soil with some root hormone. Water well then keep them on the dry side until I see new growth. Works most of the time.

The Southern belle Echinacea echo the colors of the buds in the lily and the buds and tones in the Lynda Winsor sedum. The dark purple spots of the lily echo the deep colors of the sedum and pulls it all together.

That's so beautiful Susie! That sedum is a must have, looks great with the white lilies and the little freckles on them echoe the color of the sedum. Lovey dubby

Thanks, Julia. What is HP soil? Mine are very well calloused over so I hope they survive.

Susie - that's fantastic! What a great combination and you also have the different shapes of leaves and petals.

Julia, I was wondering also about the HP. Are you referring to Pro-Mix Home Professional?

Sorry, Yes it's Pro-Mix HP doesn't say Home professional though. I Just got a bag of Sunshine 4 to try to see how I like that. I saw a Craig's list ad offering HP for 34.95 a bag. Going to check that out Monday, that's about 10.00 cheaper then I pay.

Susie, Are those white lilies 'Eyeliner'? I got 5 of those last year and loved them!! Stunning picture!!

Wow great guess! I thought they looked familiar because I just bought some. Have not even planted them. I just do not see the line. Confused

@4susiesjoy, do you have a close up of this flower, Julia might have it identified! Hurray!

I don't think they are eyeliner, I have eyeliner and they are taller. These are only a little over a foot high, I've had them for several years and they don't get any taller. I got them in a mix so I guess they'll be noid for now.

I like the way the Golden Jubilee Agastache bring out the colors of the Knautia, and Dimension and
Capuchino lilies in this pic.

Thanks for sharing that is beautiful. I think the colors in Capuchino lilies is what I have been looking for to echo the burgundy in my lace-leaf maple tree. Lovey dubby
