Got it. I have lots of tropicals but only a single tropical tree, an orchid tree. I won't be much help. I guess if you count plumeria as a tropical tree, I have more latitude.

I know. I just don't think of them that way since I allow none of mine to get tree-size. You know that mine are all asleep. nodding

I figured plumarias could at least be considered shrub size.
I am looking to include any sort of tropical that would be in a one gallon or larger pot, but not vines, cactus, or succulents. Thumbs up

All my plumeria are in at least 1 gal pots or in the ground (in the spring). They will only be in small containers when rooting or growing seedlings (which I am attempting to start for the first time).

Not long now till 2014 starts off with the very first of the plants weeks which is Cold Weather Crops. I think of cold weather crops as lettuce and other types of greens. Plus cabbage family veggies which are not only various cabbages but things like broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. But personally my main cool season crop that are grow are peas. Especially snap peas. I do love the various sugar snap peas.

Looking forward to Cold Weather Crops week to see what will be covered. Thumbs up

I'm trying to find time to type up something about cool-weather greens. It's not a good time of year for finding free time!

Working on the banners and I just noticed you changed the annual combo for April. I already have banners in place so let me know when another subject is in place, they are easy to switch out. nodding

Sorry about that, Sue. I didn't even think of the banner situation.

I changed it because I saw we had annuals for January and April. I asked Trish and she told me that they are two different kinds of annuals week but we had trouble nailing down exactly what the differences between the two weeks would be. So I just made a decision to take out the second annuals week and decide later what we'll replace it with.

Any ideas?

We did tropicals last November and included plumerias in that, but no, we haven't dedicated a week to that plant.

@dave

I think we need that second week for annuals still. We members in the North could use that April week (for prizes) and I'm pretty sure some companies have offered prizes that month/week already for 2014. Thumbs up

Garden Harvest Supply (April annuals)
Flowers By The Sea (April annuals)
Select Seeds & Plants (annuals time slot)

I know these three (esp. the first two companies have confirmed the April annuals raffle). I don't know what month Select Seeds was referring to.

Pretty sure the first two companies are offering a prize for the Jan. annual week too.

Please don't change the lineup. I'm sure more 'annual' companies will be getting back to me for the April week as it gets closer.

I'd have to refer to the Tmail I sent you to see if there are other companies wanting to confirm for April.
Welcome to the Agastache and Salvias Forum!

Hummingbirds are beautiful flying jewels in the garden!

One of the deciding factors was that we are having trouble with annual articles. If I can't come up with 7, I don't want to struggle with that twice.

I'm quirky like that (much to my children's occasional dismay)- if I have to struggle and struggle with something, I simply don't do that any more. No since is continuing the same action if I'm going to get the same result!
