Gee, the many photos of color variation of Ann-Christy really illustrate that a true color distinction can't be made for it. I just included the plant in my want list based on a photo that showed it to be closer to dark burgundy and here are photos that show variance ranging from plum to cherry red.

All the above photos are during the summer months, even then the color will be different depending on growing zone and other growing conditions. Notice the very dark one belonging to tabby in Colorado? It was taken June 2nd, and the very cherry red one is in my garden, and photo taken June 3rd. That is why it is so important for us to be able to see all the color variations our semps can go through. It is very helpful in making identifications.
