@dave If someone writes an article for a future "Plant Week" what is the best way to let you know that the article should be held back. Perhaps there could be a way add a note during the submition process.

Jay, you can send a tree-mail to Trish and ask her to hold it for that specific week.

Yeah, I figured you could contact directly. Just thought I would throw the question out there and see if there was another way, or maybe it would be something that dave might want to work into the system.

A "Note to the publisher" wouldn't be hard to add, but anytime a new field is added it adds complexity to a system. And each piece of complexity is another barrier that the users have to go through.

So, I think sending a tree mail to Trish would be best, especially since it's probably pretty rare that a note needs to be sent.

I'm on the lookout for them anyway! If there is an article for strawberries, I'm going to be holding it for soft fruits week and will schedule it accordingly Thumbs up

Would soft fruits include shrub fruits? Or would shrub fruits go in shrubs week?

It depends, probably Green Grin!
I hesitate to be pinned down to a definite answer, when I could schedule it either way.
Publisher's privilege, and all of that Green Grin!

I will note that the more informative the Idea, the more likely it is to receive a spot in the official Week.
Quality over quantity.

I must be a ninny because other than strawberries, I can't think of a soft fruit that is not a shrub. Like for instance, I think of blueberries as a soft fruit but they are shrubs.

I need some help with banners for these themes. If anyone has any images that they think might be suitable and you are unsure of how to make a banner, contact me by t-mail and we can work it out together.

@Dutchlady1, she's talking about banners that will fit into each week.

i.e. rose banners for rose week, daylily banners for daylily week.

Thanks Dave; I was under the impression that we have a GLUT of banners so was wondering which specifically she is lacking. Smiling

Yes, there are certain themes I have a shortage of:

cold weather crops
tomatoes/peppers
water gardens
soft fruits
vines/climbers
xeriscape plants
Agastache/salvias
natives/wildflowers
tropicals trees/shrubs
