I don't know these names well enough to guess whether this is a great conference, or worth the price of admission. Maybe other ATP members would look at it and give it a thumbs-up or thumbs-down.

The thing is, the 4-day tickets are priced at $960! For three days starting Friday Nov 29, they will be "only" $710.

Here are some of the speakers:
Geoff Lawton, Michael Pollan, Dr. Elaine Ingham, Allan Savory, Joel Salatin, Mark Shepard, Toby Hemenway, Paul Wheaton, Greg Judy, Jack Spirko, Larry Santoyo

Baker Creek is helping to sponsor it, which I think of as a "plus".

This is the first I've heard of it. There's a lot of big names in that list and I bet it'll be a great event.

On this page are a series of TED lectures by several of the Permaculture Voices speakers.

My newsletter email from Baker Creek announces that they are listing in their 2014 catalog hundreds of new rare seeds they have scouted from all over the world.
So its great to have that kind of sponsorship for Permaculture speakers. Pricey though to go to the conference. I hope there will be a record somewhere of the speeches presented so that everyone can listen in.

The conference is at Temecula, CA (between San Diego and LA). I bet the weather there will be better than most anywhere else in the USA.

I've been talking to this group and I'm pleased to be able to share that ATP will be sponsoring the Permaculture Voices conference! I'll be promoting their event through ATP and in our newsletter. I'm glad to be able to support what looks like a really good conference!

QUOTE" Your All Things Plants weekly news: November 30, 2013

News from dave:
All Things Plants will be sponsoring one of the world's largest permaculture conferences, Permaculture Voices."

From the ATP Newsletter today. Hooray!

I hope this means that non-attendees will have an opportunity to see what is happening at the conference.

Also there is a nice discount on tickets available:

QUOTE: "Starting yesterday (November 29th) the conference organizers are running a three day special on tickets. During this time you can save $250 on the regular ticket price. There are also student, young farmer, and group rates available."

from the ATP newsletter, Nov. 30.

We are expecting a baby at the same time as the conference so I can't attend, but otherwise I definitely would have attended and reported from the event.

That's a good excuse! Does ATP have some able reporters who could cover the conference?

How cool! Just read about this in the ATP Newsletter. Way to go, Dave!
Wish I could go cus I'm familiar w/nearly all those speakers! Those folks are gonna give a good bit of education.

I hope your sponsorship will put an ATP logo on their webpage, too! Thumbs up

I really hope this gathering makes big headlines.

Yes indeed, Shoe, they have my logo and description and it'll go up on the site early this week, hopefully. Ideally we'll help each other out, with me spreading the word about their conference and with them returning the favor and letting more people know about ATP. A win-win.

Maybe we would even get some participation in the Permaculture Forum!

This looks like a great conference with some amazing speakers!. I work in Temecula and am pretty surprised it's here. I live in the mountains about a half hour drive from the conference is anyone needs a place to stay or camp for free (help alleviate some of that cost, plus if you stay then you can fill me in every day what happened!)
Good job ATP sponsoring this.
