I have two tiny adenium sprouts in my second try at starting adenium from seed. Very happy. I have to remember to not overwater, actually to not overmist.

We have 4" of snow and more on the way. Glad to have my cyberfriends to keep me company.

Yay for you, Andi!! So much fun, and aren't the sprouts funny looking? The start right off with the thick stem.

Poor you, more snow!

OK,

Melissa, OK, I'm going to go on to your coral forum,b log, thread, cubit if I can find it. I am getting better on this site. I'm trying to think of the whole cubits as a large parcel of land, on the land are many tents (cubits) under the tents (cubits) are many forums. Does that sound about the way it is? Be kind now, or I go back to calling you ol what's her name Smiling , I still have a problem telling if there are new posts on a particular forum, but I'll get the hang of it yet. Poor Andi, snow and trying to raise his seedlings, I won't complain anymore about how difficult it is to get them to germinate, besides, I've gotten pretty good at it, brag, brag, All thanks to Wilfred and his tireless efforts on my behalf. I just gave all my desert rose planted outside in the ground a big dose of super bloom and a deep watering in expectation of the cold front we are expecting. It worked well the last time (deep watering that is) and hope it helps this time. A few of mine lost all the leafs and just now tiny little leafs are beginning to appear. Not a flower on any of them though, guess it has to get a lot warmer.

Wow, just visited your thingy on face book. I've never been on face book so that was my first surprise, Didn't know you were (are) quite an accomplished artist either. Super impressed with all your varied interests! How the heck do you keep up with all that you do and also keep up with D.G. and Cubits? I'll never have the nerve to call you Ol what's her name again, I think I'll go with "her Ladyship" you are that impressive.

I saw your coral forum. Very pretty pics! I lived in Puerto Rico for a while for work and snorkled a bit. It brought back memories. I wish I were on a beach today, but am looking out the window at the snow.

I love your paintings. I was wanting to make a seascape quilt. I have it sketched out, but now sewn. You inspired me think about it again. My brain works faster than my hands.

Anyone sick of the winter weather can take a mini vacation in a coral reef!

I think Wilfred is on his way, according to the other place. He is having trouble with his email.

Hey Andi, is it still possible to drive rt 611 like I did 20 years ago from Phila. We vacationed in Lancaster about three years ago and I tried going up rt 611 to pass "Indian Head" but was re-routed on to a newer highway that was no where near as scenic. I used to like the dangerous twists and turns of 611.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone!

According to one very knowlegable source, Super Bloom is not so hot as a fertilizer. Off balance. The middle number is way too high. Like, if you need a little milk glass of milk to be healthy , but they give you a whole gallon to drink.

I'll go back and read that looonngggg article and comment further.

Stay warm, y'all!

There is "old rt 611" and "new rt 611" and they overlap in places. You were probably rerouted on "new route 611". In this area, it is getting built up quite a bit, like Route 46 in NJ, if you have been there. Lots of chain stores, lots of traffic.

You can probably still follow the "scenic" route, plenty of twists and turns. If you have an old map, compare it with a new one. The roads are still here, but called different names. I am new to the area, so I am not sure what it was like 20 years ago.

The most beautiful part is along the river. You can always take the Delaware Water Gap exit and pull into the diner. All of the local old timers hang out there. They know all of the good places. If you don't feel like driving, you can take the "trolley" There are buses decorated to look like trolleys that drive around the scenic route and give a tour.

Wilfred seems to be getting zero sleep sometimes. Best we don't push him to do any more on a computer than what he is now.

Zips in, speaks to everyone, then gone again. He mentioned about a month ago he was beginning to work 12 hour days!!

Poor Wlifred! Wish we could make it all easier for him.

Charleen, what's the middle number on the super thrive? I use the super bloom BECAUSE of the high middle number.

Jim, it says, 8-8-8 non-burning. I use a medicine dropper just the tip filled in 20 bottle. Don't want to push my luck.
Finally found the stuff in Home Depot. Says it's for all garden and housplants. But after i saw the Yellowed one in pic. earlier I was worried.

I mix up a 5 gal bucket of super bloom (a much higher middle number) and dole it out to my in the ground D.R. about three pints each, I do that every other week. After feeding I water them deeply just to make sure I didn't burn any of the roots. I use the same mixture on my potted ones but add a bit of water so it's a little weaker. Those I also feed about every 10 days, but water them more often as they seem to dry quickly.

LOL Doris, I bet you wouldn't. I thought that when I first moved to Florida, it's just too hot, nothing like being hot sticky and sand every where on your body. Melissa is a diver and photographer, so I'm sure she is right at home in or on the water, and I agree, those pictures are fantastic. She has so many hobbies I wonder where she gets the energy.

My little babies seem to be drying out in their seed mix pretty fast. Got to transplant the tree amigos soon. they look like little stair steps and I have a friend for them already. Here they are. The tallest is an inch the shortest just over 1/2 inch.
