Other than a short time after planting new seedlings, this garden does not get watered.

Very nice! I am running out of adjectives to describe scenes as pleasing as this. I want to say 'stunning' or 'outstanding', but that doesn't quite cut it. So I will use refreshing, peaceful and appealing because that's how it affects me. The focal point for me are the wagon wheels. Everything else only adds to the natural, quaint beauty! Thanks for sharing. Thumbs up

Thanks so much! The wagon wheels and a big fallen stump that was growing out of a large rock,( you can see part of the stump at the top of the picture), were the focus of this garden when I made it. I waited years to get just the right stump, and the wagon wheels were donated by a friend for the purpose of making this primarily wildflower garden. I love the western wildflowers and wanted a garden that showcases them. Some of the plants that I started didn't survive this climate but many did and I've added a few cultivated flowers that will survive without being watered.

The old barn in the background ties it all together. Just lovely.

Thanks! I really like the random multi-plant pictures too. From seeing your gardens I think we both have a love of wildflowers. Smiling
