Yes, you are so right. I must have looked in the wrong place on that site. I thought they were $14-11ish for one.

He is quite generous with the count and most bulbs are around $1.50 each.

Love the new combo Jo Ann.
Now I am going to have to go look at Caladiums 4 less. I also tried them years ago without much success. I may have to give them a try one more time.

I was thinking about trying them too just because of the foliage. I have a shade metal trough that needs updating. Coleus is another that looks interesting. I'm not much of a flower fan... Rolling my eyes.

Did you see 'White Christmas'? Oh my goodness that would be a standout in shade.
Less money on Caladiums 4 Less website, but I really love the photo in this link. http://www.edenbrothers.com/st...

I dont ever think of Caladiums as anything more than an annual.
They are show stoppers and just a couple of bulbs in a container go further than 2 annual plants for so much more. Annuals here are going for 5 dollars each, thats 5 caladium bulbs.
I admit I lavish myself where the summer garden is concerned. I live on a fixed income at 78 and withy my DD and SIL so the income goes further than it did when I had taxes and other home owner expenses.
It's a luxury to be in this position after 50 years of child support and art business and teaching.

Enough of that. Caladiums are tropicals and like it hot.I stated awhile ago,I plant bulbs the end of May when all the other containers are planted. They grow fast when the real hot weather comes and nights are in the 60"s.
This is Moonlight ad Lynn said a white caladium in shade is really beautiful.

Hello, I am here late but enjoy the pics. How far north will caladium live in the ground without being dug?

DD was successful last year. It is so bitter cold the furnace is on a lot more and static is in everything.

We finally got snow here. Bet all those alpine plants are loving it.

Jo Ann you are going to love that tiny armeria 'Cottontail'. One of my favorites. You might even try this one, with it's great variegated leaves.

I love the leaves on the Primula marginata.
