I love Missouri, I miss going there all the time. I am going to have to make a way down to Rogers, Ar to see my sis and I could get there easily thru Missouri. I had a daughter in Missouri almost 39 years ago, and wish I still lived there.

I love seeing all the brug pictures here. I'm excited now about a plant of mine that finally has a tiny 5/8" bloom starting to form. It is on a HerrenhauserGarten that I've had about 6 or 7 years. I bought it as a 10" barely rooted cutting from a nursery in Florida and have hauled it inside in winter and back outside in spring every year without a bloom. People have posted discouraging comments about it being very contrary about blooming.
I was new to DG then, didn't know anything about brugs except how beautiful they were and was willing to give it a try. It's is supposed to be a triple orange, has finally Y'd and immediately formed this 1 (or maybe 2?) buds. When it opens, if and ever, I'll post a picture because it's surely been a looooong wait - and I paid $20 for the short stick with a few roots so many years ago.

Oh Louise, you sound like me except I bought a NOID,
how excited you must be ~!!!
I am excited for you!
OH, she is about to! A triple! I have NEVER seen a triple. I have only drooled over someones double here in Kansas. ( Only two people in the whole state that I know of .)
Listen, I know that brug will be just what you have hoped for. With a name that sounds like it is from Royalty, I bet it demands the attention it deserves when it blooms.
I can't wait to see your bloom photo..
the brugs that have been posted are just divine. I love that Pink Charm and lost the cutting that was sent to me last winter. It is nice seeing pictures with the names.

Debra,
(A little off topic for now but I have high hopes!)
I bought four doubles from Ken and Maggie earlier this year - Adeline, Forestville Double, Naughty Nick and Tootsie. They are growing nicely and need to go up to larger pots now. I'll post any pictures I take when they bloom.

Louise, You'll have to post lots of photos of HG when it finally blooms. Very few people have succeeded in getting their HG to bloom and end up throwing the plants away.

VLD - I took this picture just now. If you look closely, you can see the 'Y' and I don't know if the buds are visible yet at this distance. I counted them and could see about 5 or 6 already above the 'Y'. I hope they hold and don't fall off. I've had that happen sometimes.
HHG has and keeps an attitude.

HG is so awsome, it looks like she is showing off. I like that in a Brug.

Linda, I have both Peters 20-20-20 and MiracleGro. Which would be the best to use, how much and how often?

Thanks for any help. After waiting this long for blooms on HHG, I don't want to
cause a problem through ignorance or neglect. I also have Colorburst 15-30-15
by Spectrum.

I use miracle grow, but I double the strength it says on the box. Some have told me not to do that, but it works for me, once they start growing, and showing small buds, I fertilize heavy. I fertilize once a week.

If it doesn't stop raining I won't have any plants to worry about, been storming for the last 5hrs. every pot outside is flooded in cluding my Bog
and the tub it is sitting in, my daughter is here, I called her to come empty my Bog pot but it is raining so hard she can't go out there yet, we are getting more than the Northern part of the State, already have 2" and no sign of it letting up.

Charleen I would gladly trade you for some sun, it is sickening to see all my plants drowning, my daughter did go out in the rain and empty my tub the bog pot is in but it will fill up again if it doesn't stop raining, and by the news it is here for the rest of the day.
