This is growing in the random garden (my son and I filled a mason jar full of seeds and just threw them everywhere) and I don't really know what it is....it's growing pretty well in zone 7b. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Looks to me like maybe Texas Bluebonnet (lupinus texensis). Kind of a weird time of the year for them to be growing, tho.

I agree, it's some kind of lupin. We have many types in Ca., and the odd weather this year has many plants confused about bloom time.

Thank you both very much! We had a really odd past couple months here so it threw everything out of whack. It's been interesting though seeing what is randomly popping up!
