Does anyone know if this variety is still obtainable? It was developed by J.Pope nurseries of Birmingham around 1905

We have an entry for King's Norton in our database, but no information regarding its availability. @jmorth is our resident narcissus expert. Perhaps he'll be able to answer your question.

King's Norton was registered w/ ‘The Royal Horticultural Society Horticultural Database’, available at www.rhs.org.uk w/ a flowering date of before 1903. It is also listed in ADS database, but without any pictures...the lack of any photo there often indicates it isn't available any more. You might try companies that specialize in heirloom cultivars like Old House Gardens (though their more current catalogs don't list it).

Thanks plant people. I'm aware of the RHS journal listings and wondered if I could track down anyone that might be currently growing it. I'm English and didn't at first realise that I had logged onto an American forum....I of course mean Birmingham, England, though you spotted that I guess. The Pope nurseries were started by ancestors of mine and I'm curious about the cultivars that they developed. Will check out your suggestions.
