I now know why my babies all died...I planted the poor things in a spongy mix and they drowned.

I don't have snow here so I was surprised they survive being blanked with the white stuff all winter.

Great article Jacki, I now feel excited about trying something new in my (limited) experience. Can't wait to get seed and try this new way of growing semps. I will have to see if I can find a source of Rosularia seed also. I would love to have some of the different types. It is very hard to find much infomation on them.

It is difficult to find these types of seeds - try alpine nurseries, they sometimes have a variety of hardy succulents, so it's worth a try. Otherwise, there are not a lot around - I think we're onto something...

I'm glad I could motivate and inspire you to try some other crafts, Zanymuse, Bubbles and Lynn - and any time you want some snow, I get lots here.

Seeds can in some cases be shipped between countries relatively easily, so if possible I'll try and locate some more, or harvest my own.
