My favorite orange color is on Bittersweet Destiny. Haven't seen another orange daylily quite like it. It's nicely colorfast/sunfast too......Maryl

Kind of an OT plant, but a real lollapolooza orange I found on a Gladiolus. A true beacon for we orange fanatics.

Sure is nice to see some color this time of year! I've admired images of Tahlequah Flame for some time, the dark orange with a watermark makes a pretty combination. Not very many orange daylilies here, just not my favorite color, but here's a few I do have...

I have only a few orange daylilies at present, though I'm looking for Kindling the Flame (Grace) and Overheated (Grace). It's so nice to see everyone's blooms during the cold season.

Here is Citrix, one of my long-time favorites

Here's an oldie that can still sizzle in the early sunlight. Tuscawilla Tigress. Wasn't as sunfast as I had hoped, but it was new so another year may make a difference. Still an eyecatcher until mid afternoon.....Maryl

Love your pic of Sigourney, Char! Curt's picture had never appealed to me, but yours makes me think that maybe I 'need' it after all :~) Cynthia, Avante Garde may be old, but it's still one of my favorites!

I guess because I started with the old ditch lily I tried to get away from orange. The newer orange are NICE. I hope to add a few of those.

Thanks Ann, Sig is definitely one daylily that makes you stop to look. Difficult to work with hybridizing, but worth the effort. The seedlings are much easier to use. Nice seedlings, favorite is the Highland Pinched Fingers X Heavenly Beginnings sdlg. I've never grown Citrix, everyone who has it says it is a favorite.

Hilarious! yeah, me too!!
Plus, my mother's favorite color has always been orange. I was traumatized by an orange shag carpet (oh the horror!!) growing up so I tended to avoid orange for years.
Funny though, I love orange now.
I had no idea there were so very many gorgeous orange daylilies! I put in a couple of new garden areas this fall and about 40 new DL --many orange and purple-- too bad I didn't know about ATP and this forum then, so that I could ask "where can I get some of these?"
I did get a Tuscawilla Tigress though...

//fabulous pics everybody--Thanks!
