I don't decorate at all.
Don't misunderstand - I enjoy the holiday but it's just me, a dog and a deaf/blind cat. No one ever visits.
The dog and I take a ride in the car to look at decorations and lights (I still think dogs can see colors, I don't care what the experts tell me). I even sing to the dog while I drive...."I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus...

While we are out enjoying the sights, the cat stays home and redecorates. Todays offering from the cat: she knocked over 2 stacks of paperback books, an entire basket of clothes pins, all the junk from the dog's shelf (poop bags, flashlight, extra collar, etc.) then she hit the kitchen shelf and knocked down all the cans of cat food and some boxes.

Never a dull moment. Ooh, wonder if I could gift wrap the cat and give her away to some unsuspecting...put your finger on the ribbon while I tie the bow on this meowing package!

I did not decorate either, I think I belong on 'Team Scrooge'. I have been listening to Christmas music all month, I have had a hard time getting that song out of my brain and here you come along singing it to your dog. "I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus... Now it is back in my brain again!! LOL.

Maybe you could sing the 12 days of Christmas, I forgot what 8 of them are. I keep getting stuck...then starts the lalalalalala. That's a new word I plug in every where I forget the words. "On the 12th day of Christmas my true love sent to me.....lalalalala." ♫♫

Ha ha -- I'm definitely Team Scrooge. I have found over the years that all of my collected Santa guys and snow men look very jolly in early December but round about Christmas they start to become too much and I want to just swipe off all their silly grins. This year, my entire immediate family ditched out for a tropical vacation from before Xmas to the New Year -- it was quite lovely to be away from all the foo-foo.
