I've read a lot of mentions of intentions of trading when the show is over and it's warm enough to send these around in boxes. Just wanted to remind folks who have more than one color of blooms to find a method to remind themselves which is which when it's tradin' time.

If the pots are different, pics should do it.

I won't be keeping track of which is which when they arrive, but will trade with the priority being to try to get colors I don't already have. Trades for unknown plants or those I know I already have will be less appealing personally, as I think they would be for most people. Knowing how forgetful I am, just wanted to help make as many trades possible out there, as possible, by eliminating unnecessary mysteries later.

Not that I don't have 7 mystery clearance plants of my own that "had white buds when I got them but only 1 flower opened." (And it was more yellow than white.) I'm sure there's plenty of these out there too.

Interesting - which colors are you looking for? And Schlums, only?

Oh I'll trade anything! This past year, I did about a dozen trades of all kinds of plants, and got some for postage reimbursement as well as sending some that way. Succulents are the star of the boxed show - they don't mind a bit. I just know there will be a flurry of trading of holiday cacti in particular, already mentioned by many, since there are so many colors available. Many people want one of every color.

Now that I know even the smallest of cuttings can bloom if conditions allow, I'm even more into it with Schlums in particular. I'm sure with the colors I have available, I'll be able to find some good trades - as long as I know what I'm sending.

According to Clemson Univ., available colors are red, rose, purple, lavender, peach, orange, cream, and white. The yellow must be an aberration of one of these when they get too cold.

Audrie, that's way cool! But I'm not making a list, just reminding people to tag their plants in some way, or take pics, so they remember which is which when it is time to trade later. I'll put a post in trade forum when I'm ready to get into it again in a couple months.

Kalanchoe blossfeldiana is another one people might have in more than one color. Starting to bloom around this time.
