I have been good (for me) not adding too many. One thing I do not want to EVER have to do again is to find the space to make a new daylily bed, because I have gone crazy buying more daylilies. Those days are now in the past, I hope! We are getting:

Judy Davisson's 2014 Intros---Exhausted Rooster, Mister Mayor, Rumba Numba, and 3 earlier intros.
Tim Herrington's 2014 Intros---Carnival In Oz, Louisiana Lightning, Triple Trouble, Awed By Claude, and 2 earlier intros.
Trimmers' 2014 Intros---Angel Love and Sunflower Blues
Pierces' 2014 Intros---Their mini collection
Lily Auction---7 which include Dancing Jubilee, Rainbow Maker and Waves Of Joy (given to David for Christmas). We just have to stay away from the LA.

Nicole Harry DeVito will be the speaker at our Region 5 Winter Meeting March 1. I know that we will be bringing some of her new intros home with us.

I've tried to show "restraint" but that is a relative word!!! Anything that comes into my garden means that something else must leave.
From Tim Herrington: AWED BY CLAUDE, GREEN GONDOLA and an older one, FLYING MONKEYS.
From Judy Davisson: MISTER MAYOR and ROYAL GIRLS ( I think, have forgotten the name of the second one ordered.)
From Michael Miller : SMALL WORLD LOVE BUG
From Bret Clement : two of his 2014's; I forgot the names and don't think they are up yet so I can't check but they're very nice.
From the Lily Auction: BARBARA MANDRELL and LITTLE NIGHT JEWEL

Of course, we have to get through January and February and those are trying times when we can't get out in the garden much. If we get snowed in, I'm not responsible for what might happen < LOL>!!

Yes, I am also hoping to get BARBARA MANDRELL from Tink later on. Another one that has been on my wish list since I saw it at Daylily World.

I have shown absolutely no self control and there are yet several months before spring.

I look forward to The Sting, many 2014 intros from Rachel and Ludlow Lambertson, many, many from Michele, and many, many from Mark Sattlemeir.

I do not want to have self control!

Gerry it must be something about these midwestern winters that removes all control. Dreaming of spring perhaps... Big Grin

I think I must be the Queen of No Self Control! I figured I had room for about 40-50, and I'm ashamed to admit that I must be up to close to 100… YIKES! And over 1,000 little seedlings to boot… but I've always been able to find a way to house it all, and so I'll keep the faith for now…

More later, I'm sure, as I will probably be tearing my hair out come April!

I don't think I have been that bad Betty! I've got several coming from Michele, a bunch from Mark Sattlemeier, a bunch from Tom Polston, another bunch from Floyd Cove, and a few each from the Trimmers, Dan Hansen, Fred, and Bill Waldrop. I think that's it. Oh, no, there are a couple other single plants. Oi Blinking

ETA...and a few from Jamie Gossard...

I'm a backyard hybridizer and my passion has always been reds. To help with that, I am adding:
Big Red Wagon (Stamile, 2008) - for size and branching
Miss Scarlet (Gaskin, 2009) - to improve edges
Home of the Free (Grace, 2012) - for that great red color

The last two years my interest has really grown in near-blacks. I have a couple of nice seedlings, so I am adding:
Men in Black (Petit, 2011) - for scape height and maybe a few teeth
Victorian Garden Star Bright (Brooker, 2007) - for size and scape height
Bella Note (Stamile, 2009) - to improve edges and maybe get some green into them

I'm keeping my eyes open for a couple more, but that depends on what is available in the next 10-12 weeks as well as the cost.

Hi, Larry
You should have some great seedlings from that lineup. Good Luck!

Those are some excellent choices Larry. I too find some of the black ones very interesting. I have Bob Charman and Black Fury that I added this fall.

On a related note...I just made a list of (what I think is) everything that should be coming in the spring. 66 plants...
And I got a gift certificate to Heavenly Gardens for Christmas... Blinking
