Just spent a few hours moving my bulk mulch pile around. The pile is endless!!!! And no easy path from where it was dumped to where I need it.

I'll take 80s & sunny any day of the week - esp when my friends back in MD are shoveling snow again today!!!
Blessed are the Quilters for they are the Piecemakers.

Moving a dump truck load is NOT much fun. Pile approx 5' X 5'. And some pg branches somehow mnissed the chipper but do well to "patch" some holes under the fence line. Maybe I can finally keep the neighbors armadillo out of my yard.

You know Quilter Jean, you can trap armadillos. I have a former employer who has used this method quite successfully. You see, armadillos always follow the same route or path -- if you know what that is, you can trap them & then re-locate or whatever Whistling . It might be the best plan for you to leave one of those holes under the fence line open. Pick the one you think is the one it is using most recently. Then you put up 2 rows wire fencing -- it can be low, even chicken wire will do -- what you're going to do is make a channel for it to follow & they will just go along in that "chute" if you will --- head it in the direction the dillo normally heads & then put a Have-A-Heart trap at the end. It will walk straight into it.

The neighbor probably thinks it is your armadillo, Jean. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing They will quit digging once they finish off all the grubs in your lawn, of course. Maybe never?? Big Grin

Ann, I'd check your county ordinance about relocating wildlife. Down here it is illegal with a $500 fine if you are caught with a wild animal in a trap in your car. We can trap nuisance wildlife, but then we must call Animal Control who will come and collect the critter, and charge you $20.

I'm not doing anything with them here Elaine. I do know when we lived in Hobe Sound they said you could not relocate them or even trap them yourself. You had to call a wildlife specialist company to trap & relocate them. Major $$$$$! Animal Control there would not relocate them. Animal Control was only for cats & dogs.
