I'm curious what the consensus is on these. I personally am not a big fan but it seems as though they keep on coming out with newer cultivars. I have Miss Lucy which I tend to like more for the color. I was pleased with it but I also had Magic star and it rotted away. Not very pleased with that one. I don't know, they seem kind of gimmicky. Anyone know how they are they're making these? Next thing you know, Lorn will be selling his "super fasciated regale strain"! Haha

I'm not overly fond of them. Tried a few and only one survived beyond one season ~ and it never opened well.
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?

It sure sounds like hardiness wasn't considered when breeding these. I have never cared for their looks and haven't tried growing them. I think they look just a bit dorky when they are partially open.

I know I don't care for them. Never even thought about buying one, even. I ordered four different 'Moon' series Trumpets though. Don't know much about them--does anyone have any info?

I've only seen the pictures and they don't inspire me. What are the 'Moon' series Trumpets? (A quick google couldn't find them.)

I have a few bulbs of Fabiola Rose. It was the first year last summer. I am reserving my opinion based on the above reviews. This summer will be a better idea.
My initial reaction wasnt over the top.

Della, the names are Bejing Moon, Rising Moon, Tropic Moon and Easter Moon (not to be confused with Easter Morn, the LO) First two are from Faraway, last two from B&D.

I have had a couple of the double orientals look decent. Exotic Butterfly and Magic Star (first was sold by Faraway Flowers, second at the Farmers Market here) are the ones that opened up fully for me. Overall I'd say they are not good garden flowers.

Does anyone have information on the origin of these "Moon" trumpet lilies? Hybridizer?? Bejing Moon looks like a misspelling of Beijing...
