THE BLESSING OF FREEDOM is another lovely red from Larry!

I have a fan of Tet RFK reserved from another source. I bought it as my gift to myself for finishing my PhD (which technically isn't going to happen until the 31st but I had to reserve it!)

yes Betty I saw it nodding . I had already asked Larry if he had any to sell and he told me he did and I have been debating on it since it is less than the other one although if I had the cost of the other I would prefer a DF

If I do get it then it will have to be my Valentine, birthday, Christmas, and any other occasion for the year Hilarious!

I see a trip in the near future either way because I will most likely get his collection. I already have plans for EDGE OF MERCY; I want to put that yellow/orangey blend seedling I have on it since it is short and hopefully will get some height to it.

Yes, you go girl! And maybe I can catch up on a couple of his intros through your auctions in several months…

And I'm glad you're getting your "doctoral gift" to yourself, James -- Congrats!

Yeah, that was a surprise! It must be really rare to begin with, or maybe because of its bloom size? Sure looks like a HUGE bloom to me, and with that totally pastel palette I'll bet it might take/clarify other colors and maybe patterns? Who knows…

I've seen Tet MCO in person and it is huge!!!

So I reserved TRFK Blinking and can go pick it up anytime (when Fred decides we are taking a road trip nodding ). It will officially be the most expensive daylily I've ever or probably will ever buy!!!! Boy do I need to start converting my own plants.

That was my reaction as well. Big Grin After the last few days though I feel like I owe it to myself just for shoveling the snow.

Did you ever go through with the colchicine purchase?

No I haven't. I was waiting on Fred to check on it (I just assumed he was since he asked for the companies info) and I totally forgot to ask him when I went to visit him today. I will have to ask him when we go to Larry's and that way I can ask Larry where he gets his colchicine (if different than Waldrop) and about his microscope.

Never assume I will do anything, you heard Kathleen say yesterday it takes me five years to do something after she asks. I think the best thing is talk to Larry when we pick up the plants, he may be more helpful than the internet.

As for Tet RFK I will have a special place in the Odyssey for it so the other plants can't knock it over, but if you want to hold it for the 2.5 hour return trip everyone in the vehicle will understand.

If anyone is around Huntsville Sunday Jan 12 I will be speaking at the Botanical Gardens at 2pm.
