Hmm, a Not-A-Raffle Raffle for a not-a-flowerpot coffee-mug.

My ATP coffee mug is sitting proudly on top of my PC where I can see it, holding stuff for dividing up seeds into smaller packets for trade and give-away.

It IS cool.

It looks so much like a standard clay flowerpot that I still check the bottom.every so often to be sure there is no drainage hole.

A friend has a small remote-control for switching lights or appliances on and off. The designers were geniuses: they made it look EXACTLY like a light switch on a wall plate, but you can pick it up and carry it around.

A one-switch remote like that would be totally unimpressive if it looked any different, but because it looks "just like a wall switch, but MOBILE!", it seems magical.

Me, too. I'll have to see if I kind find a company name on it. My first search on Amazon only turned up expensive things that look like a TV remote.

>> sounds too, too cool!

I fell in love with the "mobile wall switch" as soon as I saw it. i don't know if that was because it looked retro, or what.

But, just by LOOKING like a wall switch that someone had pried off the wall and left on a coffee table, it seems "magic", whereas yet one more thing that looks like a TV/DVD remote control would be boring.
