Lol .. I was thinking along the same lines - Every time I see the word Chihuahua, it reminds me of my brother who was reading a book aloud to my sister in-law fresh off of her latest chemo for breast cancer about a Chihuahua and some cats and his pronunciation of Chihuahua had her rolling on the floor laughing in spite of being horribly nauseated and feeling like crap. She told me (he was taught phonetics in school) he pronounced it .... Cha who a who a.

That looks like a good variety of plants for your climate.
Buttercream Carpet Petunia is one of my favorites.
I still have some old seeds, and will start some under lights
in March.

I though the Buttercream Petunias would go well the the Gazanias - Kiss Mahogany & Kiss Rose. I'm hoping I'll have good success with the Dolcissima Flambe petunia and think it would look great in the window boxes with some of the Buttercream petunias. I really love those Dolcissima petunias!

I grew them one year---they are great too.
Your plant combinations sound neat and you will have to post pictures in the summer.

>> Chihuahua
>> he pronounced it .... Cha who a who a.

That's kind of cool!

It reminds me of the lettuce variety named Lactuca sativa 'Anuenue' (the Hawaiian word for "rainbow").

'Anuenue' is pronounced like "Ahh, Louie Louie", but with "N"s instead of "L"s.

I got them and my other succulents and semps from Alplains

http://www.alplains.com/

But ... and it's a big but, you may not realize that when grown from seed these kinds of plants can take up to a decade and more before they get big enough bloom.

Rick, when I first saw 'Anuenue' I though it was avenue then looked a little harder.

Thanks Anne. It's OK on the blooming time frame since I like the plant itself.
