Hey, Jim -- don't know about that expensive golf shirt you bought. I grew up in Pinehurst, NC, and although having been on the courses several times, I am about the most unathletic person around. I don't even attempt!
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

rock- Another DeLandite?? didn't know anyone around here knew anything about this place.

I was going to the master gardeners plant sale this weekend out at the ag. center, but I really don't need any more plants right now--actually I was "told" not to buy anymore by the other half..... Rolling my eyes.

My brother moved here after he retired and built a home. When he passed away in 2003, he left the house to us and we have been part-timers ever since. We have been visiting DeLand since the 90s.

I'm afraid Icouldn't go to a plant sale without buying something. I don't have that much will power when it comes to plants!

More sunshine = More purple ?
Or could it be the ph acidity +/- ?
Some plants don't like the pearlite minerals. Crying

I'm thinking more sun will straighten them out--will try that for a few days.
never thought about ph-maybe so--not much I can do about that now--but the first cutting I took a month before these looks fine-same kind of soil---(see pic)-one in back.
one in front is newer cuttings.

Jim,
Some times coleus are just weird! We call those 'sports'.
If it's in the same soil, light, etc leave it alone.
keep it pinched to force more branches and more cuttings.
If it stays the same after you take a cutting and root it, you may have a "new" coleus.
In my book, you are a lucky man. Thumbs up I tip my hat to you. Hurray!

well, Tagg, I didn't want to be too much of a dreamer,(which I've be told before), but it did cross my mind as to the fact that it may be changing into a "new" plant.
IF this turns out to be the case-what do I do then??

then we talk to goodolebake and he will let us know.
I think he is Bernard's benefactor.
I will come down and inspect it, of course and may have to remove it lest your other coleus start getting heady ideas. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

GG looking really good there. Here is a little update of my seeds. I think a few from my seed collection from last year are popping up. I fed them a weak dose of MG and they shot right up so I will be doing the same this week. Thanks, GG!
