Here is a pic of Virginia's Heart from 2012 in taken in the Kendig garden.
It was named after Diane Kendig's mom. & a shot from 2009 different lighting in each pic.

Growgirl said:Ooh. I have admired Virginia's heart, among others of his. I wish I had more room! Thanks for sharing the photos.
Amy if you get the room, Stu's plants are wonderful garden growers, not just pretty faces. They are worth the spot they take up in the garden. I have several since I visit often.

And some seedlings that are due to bloom this year,
but they bloomed early last season after being
planted in the spring. One is marked on the photo
for 2013 when it was supposed to bloom.
Thanks so much Betty and Alex! Happy to receive your input!
During the summer, I thought the Happy Happy
seedling photos were on the same plant, but
now think I misjudged the location. There are
a few rows of this cross, closely planted.
'Ledgewood's Firecracker' is the only one I found when I did a search of my list.
Edited to add:
I think 'Santa Claus' also fits the description of red eye with red edge.
I just did another search of my list just using "red eye" and it brought up a few more I have:
Asland:
Christmas Cove:
Power Surge:

I have been really impressed with the clear colors and branching on Last Fool Standing. It's apparent even when newly planted. I love it when new plants show wide branching as it's a hint of things to come!

I was surprised to see this old thread pop up again. I've lost several of the ones I originally posted to grub predation: Bullfrog Kisses, Virginia's Heart, the Manning seedling and most of Ruby Lipstick. Japanese and Junebug beetles like to mate and lay their eggs around daylilies with near white or light yellow petals.
Boyd - I really like the looks of your seedling!
A new one I got last year was Tart With a Heart.
Abilene Lillian is a good one for this category. I've had it for several years now.
Here are two of my red eyed seedlings from Abilene Lillian crossed with Ruby Lipstick:
