My seeds are sprouting........................my seeds are sprouting!!!!!!!

I looked at them last evening & saw nothing green. This AM the cukes were as tall as the domed lid over the container. And the tomatoes in the same 6-pack were up a bit. So I removed that 6-pack and have it sitting on the bathroom counter top. I did not expect them to sprout so quickly & need to get a space ready for them. Lesson learned - put all the same "type" of seed in each of the 6 cells/pack.

And there are bits of green showing in quite a few of the other cells. Guess setting the container on my heated bathroom floor worked!!!!

Now I'm wondering if an Ott light would be good for the light source? I have a couple extra with large bulbs. Think I'll set one up & see how it works.

If only it would warm up a bit so I could move my babies into the (unheated) GH!!!!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! It seems like a bitter old Frost Queen has stepped in and wants to control all the fun in our Florida world! If it ain't her way, none of us are allowed to have fun it seems. Shes just jealous of our Summer beauty!

Don't give in. I'm not going too! We'll see the Spring Angel soon!

Its a fact.

It was nice here today, as long as you stayed in the sun. I went to Selby Gardens with some friends, and it was just wonderful this afternoon.

A variegated version of Clero. Shooting Stars, neat bromeliads, a fantastic Philo covering an old tree stump with gorgeous leaves.

How did I skip by your pic's last night Elaine! Thanks for sharing the variegated Cler. A lady brought me a branch of that to root a year ago and its never bloomed and could not find any images of the variegated blooming anywhere on the net? Now I finally know what I have to look forward to! Great Philo too.

Good Morning! Smiling

I've been covering my Abutilon with a trash can on these cold nites. A week ago, when she was uncovered for a few days I saw she had buds.
Warm front moving thru tomorrow so she gets to come out again.

Nah, you were just typing that name with your teeth chattering, right? It was cold, windy and pretty raw here today. Keeping my blooming orchids inside the house tonight.

Can't believe Deland has the same temp as up here this AM. As soon as it hits 55, I'm opening the shed doors & bringing everyone out. The water in the dark plastic rain barrels stays rather warm so they will get a good watering this afternoon.
Then they will go back in Tues PM!!!!!! Maybe for the last time????? One can only hope.

I was in Big Lots yesterday & they have the heavy plastic GH back in stock. This year they have 2 very large ones. Very reasonably priced. One is octagonal & looks like it folds up like those portable screen houses. That would be very nice to have here. Need to go back for a better look when I'm not in a rush to be somewhere.

I've been enjoying all of the beautiful pictures here -- and @qwilter your quilts are fabulous. I kept trying to pick a favorite, however, they ALL came out favorites!

Thanks for the nice compliments. Years of practice.
David - I have been contemplating your idea of a quilt pattern garden.
